The property, which is presented in a traditional style, has a large open plan living space all on one level with a number of features including the large oak beam and exposed stone wall which give a homely welcoming feel. Surrounding the cottage is some stunning scenery with fabulous walks, including those along the Rivers Wye and Usk - both of which offer superb fishing options. This delightful cottage is super value for money and an excellent country bolt hole to get away to. ACCOMMODATION (all on one level)Entrance through to spacious living area with sofa and arm chair, TV with Freeview and DVD player.King Size double bed (which can be separated into two single beds if required) plus wardrobe and chest of drawers.Kitchen, well equipped electric hob and oven, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine and drier and microwave, plus dining table and two chairs.Bathroom with walk in shower, WC and washbasinOutsideThere is an enclosed courtyard area (quite a sun trap!) with table and chairs. Beyond is the owners' smallholding farm, which specialises in dressage horses and saddlery, with sheep and poultry. Any Day changeover. Cot and High Chair available on request. It’s the famous local honey-coloured stone that makes the buildings here, whether a tiny cottage or grand manor house, so distinctive and so appealing. Little has changed in many of the Cotswolds towns for more than 300 years, giving them a rare beauty in today’s world, and they are all within easy reach of our any of holiday lets or cottages in the Cotswolds.
Perhaps the most perfect Cotswolds town is Broadway, now a major centre for arts and antiques. Broadway is also well known for its tower, from which it is said you can see 14 counties. There’s also the beautifully preserved Chipping Campden, Bourton-on-the-Water, the “Little Venice” of the Cotswolds and Stow-on-the-Wold, perhaps the best-known of the smaller towns here. But there are countless other charming places to discover as you tour these gentle hills.
The market town of Cirencester, the “capital of the Cotswolds” boasts a very fine parish church as well as the Corinium Museum. This features a fascinating re-creation of life in Roman Britain.
